Alfonso is our Spanish Creative Director. A true world citizen he has been working in Advertising within different markets across Western Europe, the Nordics, Latin America and the MENA region.
He grew up between Spain and France and attained his master’s degree in Advertising & PR in Madrid, where he simultaneously kick-started his career as a creative for Publicis ETO, supporting the Banque Cetelem CRM account while working between the Spanish and French offices.
Alfonso’s next and more entertaining career move saw him working as a creative for Bungalow25, a boutique agency handling FOX TV. Here, he and his colleagues enjoyed binge-watching TV shows like Lost and Prison to help give them a better understanding of the product they were working on.
Following this, he continued to work for reputed Spanish agencies such as Revolution and Ruiz Nicoli Líneas before finally joining the globally recognized Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi, the 4th most awarded agency in the world at the time.
Despite already working for his dream agency, Alfonso was offered a role at Finish agency hasan & partners and decided to move to Finland to pursue the career opportunity.
During his years in the Nordics, he combined his work as a creative for hasan & partners with strategic studies in Berghs School of Communication, the most awarded school by Cannes Lions for six years in a row. In 2018, Alfonso implemented his learnings by setting up the new brand strategy for FOX TV and National Geographic in the Nordics.
After spending several years in snowy Finland, an offer from Dubai was greeted with a warm welcome. Now, at MullenLowe MENA, Alfonso exercises his passion and multicultural experience in every brief that comes through his door, making sure to add his strategic and business insight to strengthen the overall creative output.
Alfonso’s work has been recognized in leading international advertising festivals such as Cannes Lions, Eurobest, Dubai Lynx, El Sol and Loeries, in addition to other national festivals like Vuoden Huiput, Grand one and Kultajyvä.
